Our Teachers
Eriq Wolfe
Hi, my name is Eriq and I am an opera singer and voice teacher! I joined Patel Voice Studio in 2021 and have loved working with my students as we work to achieve their vocal goals.
I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Music and Theatre from the University of Iowa in 2019. During my time at the U of I, I participated in a variety of shows including Little Women as Gideon March, Cosi fan tutte, The Pirates of Penzance, as well as other student productions in the Theatre department. Locally, I have enjoyed working with the City Circle Theatre Company as Sir Sagramore in Camelot and the Escapologist in Matilda. I have experience with classical vocal technique, acting, diction, musical theatre singing, and stage movement.
Since graduation, I have been working at Northwest Junior High School and earning my Master of Arts in Teaching from Morningside College. I am also obtaining my Certificate in Vocology from Lamar University to further my vocal pedagogy knowledge!
Norah Wolfe
Hello, I’m Norah! I am an opera singer and a voice teacher. I recently earned my Master of Music from Northwestern University. While I was there, I performed the role of Baba in Northwestern’s production of The Medium, which I performed for the first time at the University of Iowa, and worked under Joachim Shamberger as the assistant director for Jake Heggie’s opera If I Were You.
Other roles I’ve performed include Cecilia March in Adamo’s Little Women at the University of Iowa and Mrs. Peachum in Weill’s The Threepenny Opera with Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre. During my time at the University of Iowa, I was selected as a winner of the Concerto/Aria Competition and was honored to sing Mahler’s Kindertotenlieder with the University of Iowa Chamber Orchestra.
I have a deep love for opera and classical song, but I am also a dedicated performer of new music and have a soft spot for musical theater. In my free time, I like to write poetry and compose my own music. At the moment, I’m learning how to make kimchi and play bass guitar!
